Training Overview
Skills Development for the Foundry Industry
The SAIF Foundry Technology Program supports technical training, industry skills development and practical learning for South Africa’s foundry and metal casting sector.
Members & Non-Members
Current module costs are R3,850.00 for members and R4,200.00 for non-members.
8 – 10 Weeks
Training modules are generally presented over an 8 to 10 week period, depending on the course structure.
Saturday Training
Courses are generally presented on Saturdays. Venue details are confirmed per semester or course notice.
Per Module
Certification is issued on completion of each module, subject to the course requirements.

Semester 3 includes three practical short courses focused on casting methods, supervision and sand testing.

Develop practical understanding of casting design principles, methoding, feeding systems and moulding considerations for improved casting quality.
