SAIF with the support of various industry stakeholders provides a coordinated approach to foundry skills development on a national basis and enhances the roll-out of new training courses to the industry.

The primary intention of the skills development and training programme is to continue to provide necessary skills and training support to the development of national qualifications.

The SAIF Foundry Technology Programme is divided into two categories. Certification is issued for each module completed and once a student has completed 7 out of the possible 8 modules they will be awarded with the SAIF graduation certificate.
