The South African Institute of Foundrymen is pleased to announce the upcoming SAIF Foundry Technology Program – Semester 3, commencing on Saturday, 03 October 2026.
The program offers practical and industry-relevant training aimed at supporting skills development within the South African foundry and metal casting sector.
Registrations are now open, with classes running from Saturday, 03 October 2026 to Saturday, 05 December 2026.

Semester 3 Modules
Casting Design & Methods
Develop practical understanding of casting design principles, methoding, feeding systems, and moulding considerations for improved casting quality.
Supervisory Management
Build essential supervisory skills for foundry environments, including team coordination, communication, productivity, and workplace leadership.
Practical Sand Testing
Practical sand testing for green sand and chemically bonded sands, with a focus on sand quality, process control, and production consistency.
