The South African Institute of Foundrymen (SAIF) is offering a course in Metallurgy & Metal Melting This training initiative is supported by the National Foundry Technology Network (NFTN)
The Course will be presented by Clive Jones a specialist in this field.
The course will consist of four sections covering inter alia, the following:
Section 1 – Metal Melting
Section 2 – Grey Cast Iron
Section 3 – Ductile Iron Metallurgy
Section 4 – Non Ferrous Metallurgy
Section 5 – Refractories
Section 6 – Melting and Pouring Practice
Section 7 – Metal Control Testing
The course is directed at The course is aimed at: Team Leaders, 1st Line Supervisors, Operators
and Maintenance Personnel in Foundries.
The course will commence on 26th January 2013. The course will run over 8 – 10 weeks
and will finish on 6th April 2013

Times: Saturday Mornings from 08:00 am – 13:00 pm
Cost Per Student: R 750.00 per learner for the entire course.
