VAAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

The South African Institute of Foundrymen (SAIF) in partnership with
Vaal University of Technology (VUT) is offering a training course
in Supervisory Management to foundries in the Vaal area.  This course forms part of the
Foundry Diploma Course Programme and is courtesy of the WCIF.

The initiative is subsidised by the National Foundry Technology Network (NFTN) – a proud initiative of the dti

Johan Prinsloo, a specialist in the field will be the facilitator.

The diploma in Foundry Technology for Supervisory Management, consists of the following modules:

Section 1 – The Supervisory Role
Section 2 –Group Dynamics
Section 3 – Control and Leadership
Section 4 – Stress Management and Communication
Section 5 – Industrial Relations
Section 6 – Productivity and Work Measurement
Section 7 – Quality and Safety Management

The course is aimed at team leaders, first line supervisors, operations managers and maintenance personnel in foundries.

 

It will run over 8 – 10 weeks and will start on 18 May 2013.
Expected date of conslusion is 27 July 2013.
There will be no lectures on 15 June 2013.

Times: Saturday Mornings from 08:00 am – 13:00 pm
Cost Per Student: R 750.00 per learner for the entire course.
