Today, 12 July 2024, marks two months until the NCPC-SA’s 6th biennial conference in Pretoria. This year, the Sustainable Industries Conference South Africa includes the National Foundry Technology Network (NFTN) Sustainable Foundries workshop – focusing on the metals value chain, particularly the foundries sector in South Africa.
Topics for discussion will include the effects of CBAM, the challenges of air quality and issues surrounding localisation / local content as a tool for economic growth and sustainable development.

• The in-person event will be hosted at the CSIR ICC in Pretoria. It is free to attend, but seats are limited, so we are urging our industry partners to book now – registration is essential for in-person attendance.
• Also, if you should have a case study or topic of relevance to the themes, we are still able to accommodate speakers in the programme. Please send an email to Julie Wells or ncpc@csir.co.za as soon as possible to express your interest to present.
