DIPLOMA IN FOUNDRY TECHNOLOGY
1. SAND & MOULDING SANDS (Module 3)
The South African Institute of Foundrymen (SAIF) is offering a short courses to the foundry industry in KZN in Sand & Moulding Sands
This training initiative is supported and subsidized by the
National Foundry Technology Network (NFTN), a proud initiative of the dti
The Sand & Moulding course will be presented by Mr Xolani Matebese a specialized expert in his field.
The Sand & Moulding Module will consist of seven sections covering inter alia, the following:
Moulding Sands
Basic Test for Green Sands
Other Test for Sands
Principles of Moulding
Mould Shakeout Systems
Sand Storage and Handling
The Pattern
The course is directed at team leaders, first line supervisors, operations managers
and maintenance personnel in foundries.
Training will commence on Saturday, 07 June 2014
The courses will run over 8 – 10 weeks and will finish on 16 August 2014

Times: 08:00 am – 13:00 pm
Cost Per Student: R 750.00 for the entire module.
Payment is required on registration of each student.
No registrations will be processed without the required documentation
