NOTIFICATION OF 50th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR MEMBERS OF THE SAIF COUNCIL
In accordance with the constitution of the South African Institute of Foundrymen, notification is hereby given of the, the 50th Annual General Meeting will take place on:
Tuesday, 13th May 2014
At the Reading Country Club,
40 Fore Street, New Red Ruth, Alberton
at 17:30 pm
The Constitution requires that “The Governing Council shall consist of the President, Vice President, one Immediate Past President, Treasurer, and 6 elected Members, with Chairman of Committees being co-opted as required. Past Presidents of the South African Institute of Foundrymen shall be Ex-Officio Members of the Council”.
Election of Council Members for 2014/2015
The Council currently consists of 10 members (including the Immediate Past President of the Institute), who are to be elected at the Annual General Meeting. The elected Council will then elect the President, Vice-President, Treasurer and any other office bearers as required.
You are requested to submit nominations for members to serve on the Council of the South African Institute of Foundrymen for the next term of office, 2014/2015. In order to evaluate each nomination received thoroughly, we would appreciate receiving this information by no later than Friday, 09th May 2014.
This is your Institute so please make use of the opportunity to nominate a member for the Council that would best serve the interests of the industry.
Please Note: In accordance with the constitution, all SAIF institute membership fees for nominees must be paid in full in order to be considered for office on the council.
One of the fundamental priorities of the institute is to be the voice of the South African Foundry Industry, and as a valued member; it is in your best interest to make every effort to attend, thus contributing positively to the future sustainability and growth of the body and industry as a whole.
Please Note: In accordance with the constitution, all SAIF institute membership fees for members must be paid in full in order to be permitted to vote.
A technical presentation on practical on Energy Savings in Iron Foundries will follow directly after the AGM has concluded.
