Procurement Department of the Magaldi Group, an international engineering and industrial company which produces and installs Conveying Systems in the Power Plants, Automotive and Bulk Material Handling Industry.

 

As you can see on our web site (www.magaldi.com), Magaldi core business is the patented MAC (Magaldi Ash Cooler) System, that is a unique system for the extraction and the handling of bottom ash in coal fired power plants. With more then 130 references installed since 1987, the MAC system is the world’s leading dry bottom ash handling system for dependability and is based on the Magaldi Superbelt, the patented heavy-duty steel belt conveyor.

 

I’m writing to you because our Top Management decided to investigate the opportunity to find new suppliers able to manufacture special castings for our equipment.

Our basic requirement is about two different type of castings:

(a) Big castings (unitary weight about 350 Kg) type Fe G80 UNI4010.

(b) Smaller castings with composition such as (C 2,4% – 3,2%; Si 1% max; Mn 0,5% – 1,5 %; P 0,08% max; S 0,08 % max; Cr 23 % – 28 %; Mo 3 % max ; Ni 2 % max ; Cu 1% max)

For items belonging to the (a) category we have an annual consumption of 100 to 150 Tons.

For items belonging to the (b) category we have an annual consumption of 30 to 50 Tons.
