Description:

The South African Institute of Foundrymen (SAIF)  is offering the highly commended training course from (WCIF) to foundries

in the Gauteng Province, as part of the Foundry Skills Development Programme.

The course in Cores and Core Making is subsidised by NFTN (dti)

The facilitator for the course on behalf of SAIF will be Nigel Pardoe, a specialists in his field.

His extensive knowledge and experience in this subject extends over many years within the industry.

 

The diploma in Foundry Technology for Cores and Core Making consist of the following modules:
 
Section 1
One binder Systems  
Section 2
Cold Box Process  
Section 3
Hot Box Process
Section 4
Shell Process
Section 5
FRC Process
Section 6
Other Processes
Section 7
Coating

The course is aimed at  Team Leaders, 1st Line Supervisors, Operators and Maintenance Personnel in Foundries.

The will take place on Saturday Mornings for 4 and half hours and will commence on 18th May 2013

We estimate the course to run over 9 weeks and therefore expect the course to conclude on Saturday, 27th July 2013

There will be no lectures on Saturday, 15th June 2013

      R 750.00 for the entire course.  Payment is required on registration of each student.
