The South African Institute of Foundrymen (SAIF) is offering the highly commended training course from (WCIF) to foundries in the Gauteng Province, as part of the Foundry Diploma Programme.
The course in Productivity & Production Planningis subsidised by NFTN (DTI) The facilitator for the course on behalf of SAIF will be Graham Knight, a specialists in his field. He currently holds the position of General Manager of METLAB, the largest material testing laboratory in South Africa. His extensive knowledge and experience in this subject extends over many years within the industry.
The diploma in Foundry Technology for Productivity and Production Planning consist of the following modules:
Section 1 – Operations Management
Section 2 –Mater Planning
Section 3 –Productivity Improvement
Section 4 – Method Study
Section 5 – Work Measurement
Section 6 – Capacity Requirements Planning
Section 7 – Shop Floor Control
The course is aimed at Team Leaders, 1st Line Supervisors, Operators and Maintenance Personnel in Foundries.
The will take place on Saturday Mornings for 4 and half hours and will commence on 6th October 2012
We estimate the course to run over 9 weeks and therefore expect the course to conclude on Saturday, 1st December 2012
